Are you a young woman struggling with the aftermath of a relationship that now impacts your ability to trust yourself and others?
Do you find yourself questioning the unpredictable or manipulative behavior of someone close to you?
Do you frequently cater to the whims, wishes, desires, demands of friends, family, partners, coworkers or even total strangers…at the expense of your own sanity?
Are you high-achieving and driven in your professional life but struggle with personal boundaries and self-worth in relationships?
Do you get excited and hopeful about new relationships, only to eventually find yourself in one-sided, toxic situationships?
Do you ever wonder if your interpersonal relationships – as well as your relationship with yourself – could be healthier or more fulfilling?
The American Psychological Association (APA) states that young women who experience relationship trauma are at a higher risk for developing anxiety, depression, and PTSD. From dating nightmares to online harassment to emotional and narcissistic abuse, now, more than ever, women are feeling uncertain about how to cultivate successful, healthy relationships.
I believe relationship trauma can not only be healed, but alchemized to empower and embolden. As a licensed clinical psychologist in CA and Washington DC, I offer individual therapy for young women who are ready to cut out the dysfunction and embrace positive interpersonal relationships, both romantic and platonic.
Therapy is a collaborative process. I offer safe, trauma-informed, culturally competent psychotherapy so you can turn the challenges of toxic relationships into massive personal growth.
We begin with a culturally informed, attachment-based approach: Understanding the impact of your background, experiences, and attachment style is essential to fostering meaningful healing.
Once safety and understanding has been established in the therapeutic relationship, I employ evidence-based treatments such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These therapeutic methods are tailored to help you process past experiences, reframe negative thought patterns, and build resilience against future emotional challenges. My focus is on providing practical tools and techniques to help you regain control and restore your sense of self.
My ultimate goal is your growth and happiness. I don’t just aim to help you heal from your past; I want to empower you to thrive. In as little as a few months, you can expect to feel more confident in setting boundaries, trusting others again, and embracing healthy relationships. I will guide you through the transformation from trauma to personal empowerment, helping you not only to heal, but to build the foundation for a fulfilling, authentic life.
